2021 Playoff Thread | Round 1 | Habs/Leafs

I know....it's hilarious....last year it was all about Suzuki, KK....even Romanov was impressing the brass in the bubble during practice.

The youth in the bubble gave Bergevin carte blanche to spend to the cap.....
Any thoughts on what should be my criteria for selecting a new team to cheer for in place of the Habs as of next season. I’m close to my breaking point.

Why bench Romanov too?! Set in stone they get swept. This management and team are a joke now. Maybe steal one but I doubt it. Kids are better than others in the lineup

It's obvious the habs strategy is not to lose instead of trying to win. Let's dress all veterans, who can barely produce, skate, but have experiences, while keeping fresh legs and skills out of the lineup.

Sometimes, I'm wondering if Ducharme's hands are not tie up to play the vets so his strategy is to have them all in the lineup on the first game, lose miserable and then be able to justify putting those old players out for the new guys.

reminds me of when the habs thought douglas murray was an NHLer

Sometimes you wonder? This is a mandated lineup from MB.

I can easily explain why Caufield won't play, a lot less for KK, but I kinda get it even though I don't agree with it.

Romanov, though...

What an interesting contrast from a few months ago when they were hyping Romanov up.

So as it stands, our lineup for the first playoff game will include a total of 4 players that were drafted by the organization. Price, Lehkonen, Evans and Gallagher. Half of those were before The Charlatan came into power 9 years ago and the other two are fourth line players.

Preeeeeetty incredible.

That’s a pretty clear indictment of how bad this administration has better. Someone needs to get in Molson’s ear and convince him that a housecleaning is needed, from the top down.

We have to have the worst % in the league of drafted players in a lineup

Can’t leave out Trevor Timmins either. Guys had a cushy job for years and no real superstars side maybe Price and Patches and that’s a stretch with patches

Oh, I'm definitely not leaving him out of this. Timmins's lived off of his 2007 draft where he drafted McDonagh, Pacioretty & Subban.

They can clean out upper management and if we're lucky, maybe have Molson sell the team (slim to no chance), but we're stuck with a bunch of these contracts for the foreseeable future.
