Or mine...Let's Go Tech!

Sure glad i entered that pre-tournament bet on the conference tournament championship too!

We're ranked in the 30s in the pairwise so I'm sure we'll draw the toughest region/matchup

Consid

Congrats! With Quinnipiac a top 10 team and a lock, they probably needed to win the tournament to get in, even though they’ve been ranked all season.
No question...although we ended 12th in the PairWise, the belief was that the only way we got a big was by winning the championship.

UMass and Maine both make the NCAA tournament, so the Morrow watch is delayed.

In the Springfield regional, UMass plays overall 3rd seed Denver, Maine gets Cornell.
Charles Legault and Quinnipiac are in the Providence regional against Wisconsin, Michigan Tech plays overall top seed BC
Jackson Blake and Jayden Perron and North Dakota are in the St. Louis regional against Michigan. Western Michigan and overall 4th seed Michigan State are also in that region.
The other regional is in Sioux Falls with overall 2nd seed BU, RIT, Minnesota and Nebraska-Omaha.

Maine didn't make the HE finals, but if they make it to Saturday in Springfield I plan to ride over and watch.

I still might, especially if the kiddo wants to go - I've seen Morrow before though, and never seen Nadeau is the real reason.

Signing any of our college kids after their season ends will be a bit awkward as they will have nowhere to go to this season. Usually we would sign a college kid after his season ends and he would sign an ATO with our AHL affiliate and get at least a bit of seasoning there. We can still sign a college kid sometime in the coming weeks to an entry level deal starting next season, but we don't have anywhere for him to go to for this season that is running 'our system'.

A couple of them might benefit from joining the Black Aces during the playoffs. Thinking specifically of Morrow here, but maybe Blake as well.

Based on what the Canes have been doing with their Russian guys, I guess you'd expect Trikozov to sign another deal in Russia before they think about bringing him over ???? Typically they've been looking to bring over guys after they've made a KHL breakthrough.
He played in all 3 leagues this year but played more games in the VHL than the others and only 2 in the KHL. And he’s still young, he turns 20 in August, he was one of the youngest players in the 2022 draft.

Yeah ... I'd expect him to do at least one more 2-3 year contract in Russian before he'd be a candidate to come over.

If you want to watch hockey before the Canes game tonight, UMass plays Denver on ESPN2 at 2 followed by Maine and Cornell on ESPNews at 5:30. Quinnipiac and North Dakota play tomorrow.
