Acadie-Bathurst was eliminate from playoff contention, so the Robert Orr watch is on. As a 2021 draft pick, he has to be signed by June 1 or the Canes lose his rights.

Koivunen is under contract, I wonder if they’d consider bringing him to Chicago to get a jump on acclimating to North America.

I'm hoping they do, and that they go ahead and spring Morrow from college to let him get his feet wet as well.

In the NCAA tournament last night, BU won, Denver lost, so Fensore and Webber move on, Rizzo is done. BU v. Cornell for a trip to the Frozen Four on Saturday night. Penn St. plays tonight.

With Karpat’s season over, Tuukka Tieksola is back in Chicago and he’s bringing Ville Koivunen with him.

Did I see that news today correctly where Scott Morrow has decided to not sign with the Canes and go back to the NCAA for another year at UMASS-Amherst?

I haven't seen anything along those lines. Wouldn't shock me since I don't think he had the year he wanted to have at UMass-A, but I would personally rather see him playing a LOT of games in Chicago next year.

Caveat ... I said the same thing about Pesce when he went back for his third season at UNH, and that worked out just fine.

Dude, no, you're thinking of *Joe* Pesce. That did *not* work out fine. Remember he took all that time away from the ice to represent his cousin who was up for murder charges down there in Alabama? Jeesh! That took forever. And he died under suspicious circumstances. Rumor has it that he was involved in that Lufthansa heist at JFK and then got rubbed out by the mob. Weird.

Back off the 'season is over' list. :)

I have a feeling that there may have in fact been a velvet tux involved in both scenarios.
