This setup looks pretty good to me. I think on the road, the pressure will be on that Drury line to hang in there against one of NYR's big units if Lavy chooses to go that way. But putting Turbo and Jarvis on Staal's line will give him pause. That's a mismatch against his third line if he sticks with the units he used against the Caps. Both Brindy and Laviolette tend to want to match power with power, but Lavy's going to have to pick his poison a bit even on home ice. And Brind'Amour's guys are used to him switching up during games, so he can mix and match a bit more freely if he needs to move Martinook around to match up physically.
One thing to watch for ... how the Rangers go after DeAngelo. You KNOW they will, since Tony losing his wig cost Carolina at least one and arguably two games in 2022. Back then he was paired with Slavin and pulling heavy defensive responsibility. This time around the Canes can rely on Orlov and Chatfield to step up and bump Skjei/DeAngelo down to 3rd pair duty like they did for much of the Islanders series. But if you keep DeAngelo away from the Rangers' top 2 lines, you expose him to their aggitators and he's going to HAVE to do a better job of not getting baited into nonsense. The last freaking thing you need is an extra Rangers PP chance or two just because one guy can't keep from losing his cool.
