He could be gone. But there’s the Swedish defenceman too.
There's zero chance he's there at 12. Well.. there should be zero chance anyway.I use 12 on Reinbacher
To be fair... that could play into Hughes believing said player is BPA. But yeah... unless he feels the player is BPA he isn't taking someone for sentimental reasons. The narrative that Hughes will draft a player because he played for the ‘05 Jr. Eagles and/or knows him is idiotic. I can’t believe that intelligent posters here actually believe this would be the case with an intelligent person like Hughes. Sure, maybe if all things were equal, but things are never truly equal.
Of course Hughes won’t take a lesser player simply because he knows him, but it’s remains to be seen if HuGo qualify Will Smith or Leonard as “lesser” at 5OA vs an available Michkov for exampleThe narrative that Hughes will draft a player because he played for the ‘05 Jr. Eagles and/or knows him is idiotic. Hear the swede is very good too. Stabilizer. There's zero chance he's there at 12. Well.. there should be zero chance anyway.

Syrah, actually.Speaking of idiotic...
Nobody said that, especially not plurally.
He will use his time with them and weigh the pros and cons. Honestly, a little surprised at you? Rose eh?
Yeah, as good as our young D pipeline is... he's potentially a stud #1 dman. IF we traded 5 and FLA pick for 6 and 12, I would almost prefer Reinbacher at 6 and maybe a Dvorsky, Cristall, Moore at 12.Hear the swede is very good too. Stabilizer.
If HuGo believes that Smith will ultimately be an upgrade on Suzuki, and I do, then you can’t trade down if he’s still there at 5.Yeah, as good as our young D pipeline is... he's potentially a stud #1 dman. I wouldn't trade down if Michkov is there. But hypothetically if we did trade back... I'd be looking at the guys I mentioned. If HuGo believes that Smith will ultimately be an upgrade on Suzuki, and I do, then you can’t trade down if he’s still there at 5.
Yeah, Michkov to SJ at 4.I wouldn't trade down if Michkov is there. But hypothetically if we did trade back... I'd be looking at the guys I mentioned.
Nah, they go Smith.Yeah, Michkov to SJ at 4.
Partly true... but I truly believe that they will. IMO there are 4 players "worth" passing on Michkov for. He's a top 2 talent in the draft, but Fantilli, Carlsson and Smith are good enough to pass on Michkov and the risks.I know you they want them to but they won’t.
I believe HuGo hope the decision is made for them regarding Slim.I know you they want them to but they won’t.
I'm not sure if disappointed is exactly the right word. I just believe that Michkov is the best option of this team in the long run. But yeah, any of the projected top 5 can't really be "disappointing."I still not be disappointed on any of the top 5.
OkYou guys realize that SJ’s top prospect is a center (William Eklund)? There’s not a burning need there for Will Smith. They’re not passing on the Russian.
