Because Phoenix is bigger than those four Canadian cities combined.

Not bigger, but virtually the same as those 4 cities combined: 4.8 million.

If you were to divide the top players into a pyramid-type echelon, what would it look like approximately?I don't know what you mean by this
So you're saying we're not winning the lottery
Probably top 20 for me but that’s a solid 1C, don’t think he will be in the hart discussionIf you were to divide the top players into a pyramid-type echelon, what would it look like approximately?
I'd guess something along the lines of,
1
McDavid
2
Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Makar
3
Kucherov, Matthews, Quinn & Jack Hughes, Pastrnak, Hellebuyck
4
Rantanen, McCavoy, Pettersson, etc
Whatever your rankings would be. Add a player here, move a player there, list is subjective.
I think Celebrini would be approximately around the same echelon as Jack Hughes, which is probably around the 8th to 10th best player in the league, with a couple of seasons where he might be in the long-shot discussion for the Hart.
By the way, those of you in the neighborhood of some WHL teams, I can't recommend this enough: Go watch Gavin McKenna when he comes to town.
He turned 16 years old 6 weeks ago and he's already on the shortlist for best player in the WHL.

“Snake” is 50ish & should move out of his parents basement…My guy Simon Boisvert's one of them. Says he's better than Bedard at the same age & he hasn't been enthralled by a prospect since McDavid, and if you were to exclude McDavid, he hasn't been as high on anyone since Lemieux.
