2024 Draft

Hypothetical question:

Should Habs win lottery - would you deal hometown boy Celebrini to Van in a deal for an extended Elias Petersson?

Celebrini’s ceiling is not projected to be that of a generational talent - Petersson (now 25 fits the Suzuki, CC, Guhle core age bracket) has become a 90pts+ Selke candidate C.

It’s a moot point, Scott Laughlin on NHL radio said this morning EP wants to play w NYR (Zibenijhad BFF) or Red Wings

gotta get this resolved by summer time even though he is an RFA

A sign and trade may net Nucks a hell of a haul

Count me in as “no” if we fluke out and get pick #1.

Pick Celebrini and use the Jets pick and Harris/Struble in a package to get a good young middle 6 player to deepen the roster.

It won’t happen of course, but I’d still do the bit about the Jets pick.

now the chatter is take Parehk, first McNagg then Dumont etc.

We will see if "competent anglo management" listens to the unemployed on X

I would prefer one of the forwards (Lindstrom, Demidov, Eiserman, Catton) because we're in dire need for top-6 forwards.

That said, I wouldn't be mad if we took Parehk.

Parehk would have to be significantly BPA for us to pick him over a forward, which at #5-7 I'm not sure he would.

If Lane joins the team this year and does well, I think there is almost 0 chance we take Parehk.

Parehk is probably going in the 9-12 range

I would take Dickinson before him if both are available

Assuming that Lindstrom and Demidov are gone when we make our pick, Eiserman all the way and hope he pans out. If we pass on him, I have visions of the 1977 draft in my head. I don’t want that.
