2024 Draft

For the most part I don’t give a shit, but it kinda sucks they are doing away with years of tradition and replacing it with what I assume will be a cringeworthy wankfest.
 
I might be in the minority, but I love the way the NHL does it. I just wish they'd push the pace a little more and tell teams to shut the fuck up about thanking the host city.
 
I would also wish the broadcasts would include actual scouts who know the players instead of the usual talking heads that just memorized everything. I can give a pass to Bob McKenzie, but that's about it.

I agree the current format is great , nice to see GM`s chatting and the buzz on the floor

My only issue is the wasted time watching a fucken Italian 20 person wedding reception walk to the podium to announce the pick

Have 3 team members go up and then have a photo room to house your entire staff and their families for Instagram pics
 
Am I crazy or was one of these top prospects for one of the upcoming drafts not Connor Bedard's cousin?
 
There's still two & a half years until he gets drafted, but some people like Simon Boisvert think McKenna's better than Bedard was at the same age.

The WHL's going to have some pretty dynamic prospects in the next few years. Another guy worth keeping an eye on:

There are 3 defenseman currently listed in the top 10 and they're all bunched in the middle; the precise range where the Habs will likely be drafting again next summer. So we're either taking yet another defenseman or we're taking a reach on a forward who probably tops out as a 3rd line checker.

We absolutely need to tank.
