2024 Draft

A guy who's going to move up the draft rankings in the next few weeks is Beckett Sennecke.

An unimpressive regular season statistically, but a very impressive playoff run in the OHL with the 67s. He's the leading scorer in the OHL playoffs.

He was ranked 13th on Pronman's rankings, and I saw (for whatever it's worth) McCagg say he thinks he might possibly be taken in the top-5.

A name to keep an eye on.
Hell of a player like Greentree but needs to add muscle to his frame

Like you said after # 1 its a total guess

Use the other assets to make a trade. We now have a handful of players who are no longer waiver exempt and need to go.

On the that point, getting a good player in the top 7 just adds real talent to the group of waiver exempt players thus adding useful flex to the roster.

if HuGo can find a way to land Uncle Lou’s 18OA pick along with Jets pick ++ to get up to 10-12OA would be real sweet - with all the projected top D in this draft, have to think one of Catton, Eiserman, Iginla will drop & be available

despite the last name, he doesn’t play as physical as your comps

10-12 is his range and I expect Calgary to take him

He had a great year and great bloodlines

He is this years version of Brady Ktachuk , a plug and play top 6 player with a high floor and safe pick
Yeah, who'd want that? BK's ceiling was clearly very high, it just wasn't recognized apparently by MB and Biceps at the time of the '18 draft.

Ceiling was actually the main concern for him, he didn't display a lot of offense in college, lots of scouts, including myself (not a scout but you know what I mean) thought his ceiling was around 60 points with all the other qualities that he's been displaying. He was seen as a safe pick, low floor, with decent but limited upside. Being a 35 goals, 80 points scorer has been a bit of a surprise, and it's all to his credit.
