2024 NHL Playoffs Thread

They made the playoffs, that’s a success in itself
We need to stop measuring success by meaningless achievements like "making the playoffs." If you make the playoffs and get annihilated in 4 straight games like the Isles are in the process of doing, your team is as big a failure as the Sharks or the Ducks. The Isles never had a realistic chance to accomplish a damn thing. They were a good argument for reducing the number of teams that make the playoffs.

They succeeded at nothing.

We?? I’m just saying that for Roy, given the team he had, making the playoffs was about as much as could have been expected. He didn’t put the team together. I don’t see how you can just take a free shot at Roy and declaring him a failure and completely ignoring realistic expectations?

Nashville's outshot Vancouver 26 to 11, and they're down 2-0 with 4 mins left in the third.

Ugh. Gross.

Every SOG from every angle is an adventure for Georgiev

Ironically enough, I’m having flashbacks to former Avs & Habs G David Aebischer

What an unbalanced team. MacKinnon is terrifying. Makar is a ninja. But bottom 6 looks really sad. They could use…Newhook. 🧐

What I find interesting is how they gave Newhook away for futures, then gave a contract at a similar AAV to Colton Ross and then signed Miles fucking Wood.
