Danault did a lot of so-called "little things" too that people said we could not live without. I said then that Evans could be everything Danault was because Danault is not an artist but a technician, and technical skills can be taught and learned. Only elite talent is particular to a small number of players. Any hump can learn to backcheck, block shots, and kill penalties.
A year from now we will have forgotten that Evans was ever here.
I think he'd accept at, or north of, $3.2 million for 5 years.
Jake has to get every nickel he can in UFA , this is his life changing contract

We didn't win or lose one more or fewer game than we would have otherwise won or lost. Guys like Danault are not special. They are technicians, not artists. Pay for artists, not technicians.
