We have to watch RDS for that. English broadcasts love bashing on the Habs too, except Mike Johnson.

Galley is the absolute worst and is a Sens bone smoker.
 
It's not like they don't have Bowen there eager and ready to do the job. They obviously don't want to.

Maybe since the Leafs are a national (and international) draw, they want the narration to stay neutral so visiting team fans don't tune out.

I say fuck them, of course.
 
Rogers is a perfect broadcast partner for the NHL.

Neither of them have any fucking clue on how to successfully sell hockey to people. The NHL managed to beautifully execute their US expansion master plan that saw them incredibly grow from the 4th most popular sport in the US to the 5th most popular sport in the US. Meanwhile, in Canada, Rogers managed to lose money selling hockey to Canadians.

At best we get announcers that are impartial. At worst we get guys that are actively cheering for the other team. But since Bowen & Ralph were taken off TV, we never get actual Leaf fans calling any of our games.

I honestly hate homer broadcasts. Eg. Blue Jays. When they say "we" I cringe.

the majority of SN broadcasts are regional I want to say. I know cause I live in Hali and cannot watch them :p

Oh ya. Think everyone can agree that Canada has the worst hockey announcers.

Play by play should be exciting. Colour should be knowledgeable. Apparently even that is too much to ask for.
