Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I'm actually surprised by how little McD gets questioned about his one dimensional game. Everyone is content to say "well sometimes he gets the most points so he's clear MVP" despite all evidence that he simply doesn't play defense and has zero intangibles whatsoever. Have you ever seen him do anything on the bench to his teammates other than roll his eyes or grimace at their suckiness and try to make them feel as shitty as possible?
 
I'm not even sure Dubas would want to stay if they lose in round 1 again. he wasn't offered a contract and one doesn't look forthcoming until the offseason if at all. He is a pretty proud guy and might take that as an offence.

Matthews/Marner are way more important than Dubas.

if it's a super tight one in the playoffs then i'd have a hard time thinking that's an indictment and it'll likely come down more to regular season performance to me.

Right now overall the regular season performance hasn't been good enough for me - but if there continues to be a steady improvement after that slow start and they finish with another team record around 120pts i'd probably be leaning towards keeping him.

It was awesome best time in 30 years for us fans

My only issue is some believing that the team was great and good times ahead , it was a one and done

The rebuild was long overdue

You know my stance better than most dude. The team was, and still is, shit. I just want to see the stench minimize over time.

As for found money in the playoffs, I took that opportunity because my kid is almost in college, when could I have the chance to see finals games with her again? I enjoyed every second even though they lost.

McDavid gets shitty very quickly whenever he's asked questions he doesn't like. If he was subjected to Toronto's media, all sorts of questions about his character and ability to handle the pressures of the market, etc would be fucking pervasive. All rubbish of course, but Carlo Colaifuckingacovo would be all over it between weather and the 401 report.

Finally Habs may have the regime to stop the bandaids and do it right however long it takes

No guarantees but the shit show had to stop
