Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Can Torts please be fired and go way? This will likely be his last job as coach (I hope). What a POS hypocrite. Why the Flyers didn't just rebuild in a Bedard year I'll never know. I actually have more issues with his comments than Provorovs'
He's a "Straight Shooter", so the Trump loving knuckle draggers will love him. Even if it's a load of shit and hypocritical.

Yeah, somehow Torts comes out of this looking like an even bigger piece of shit than Provorov, in my opinion at least.

I guess to be fair, his comments about benching people for anthem protests were made back in 2016, and a couple of years later he publicly admitted he’d changed his mind on that after educating himself.

But it’s still a hell of a contrast that the same dude let a player skip a team activity and pre-game skate for the sake of expressing his anti-gay bigotry, still let him play the game and then waxed poetic after the game about the respect he has for him for staying true to his convictions.

Lets see how the league or Torts feel about sitting out for US Military night

If the Flyers are too dumb to discipline their player the NHL should be levying a fine on him.

People shouldn't be forced to do these things, but "mah religion" is such a stupid and pathetic excuse. Even Tony DeAngelo was out there wearing it, stop being a moron.

Also agree Torts is a bit of a hypocrite for his dumbass take on the anthem.
If their contract stipulates that they must participate in team activities and promotions then yes he should be forced to do those things or get fined/suspended.

I could see Carolina getting Horvat. Boston has good 1st and 2nd line centres, so no urgency, and doesn't have much trade capital. Carolina has a full load of picks, good prospects, and a gaping hole at 2C that they'd be more willing to pay up to fill. My guess is Carolina gets one of ROR or Horvat, and Minny gets the other.
