Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Arizona is definitely keeping the cap down. How much is hard to say.

Back of the napkin is about 1-1.5 million imo. They do about 70-100 million in revenue (not including rev share) a year. Even small market teams like the Blue Jackets beat them out by 20-30 million a year. If you just assumed that Phoenix would go to Houston and that Houston would be ctrl-c/ctrl-v of Dallas, that's about a 70-100 million dollar improvement over Phoenix revenues with a 50% split of HRR going to the cap.

Kane I don't think was WPG related.

Trouba was apparently anti-Canada.

But the remaining three, yup.

Kane’s had an acrimonious departure from every NHL city he’s played in thus far, including San Jose.

And I believe Trouba’s issue was specifically wanting to play in New York due to his wife’s medical career.

They’ve only been around for 12 years and of that this is kinda the first time I can remember them not being media sweethearts. I think I’d probably agree that it’s a tougher sell as a market when things aren’t going really well there.

The media has kissed the Jets asses non-stop since they came back without a doubt.
