How would that work for us? He still has a year on the deal so we’d have to trade some pretty decent assets, and then sign Helle to a long term extension. But assholes, so feels like a big gamble.

Tough call. Would depend on large part on what we’d have to trade them and I can’t think of a deal that makes sense. I guess Lilly would have to be the centerpiece and I’m not into the idea of trading him for a goalie no matter who it is. He’s semi untouchable for me, as I think he’s a full on first pair stud if they use him properly.

As a UFA though, I’d be down to get Helle for just cash on a fair deal.
