They’ve been deprived of any pro sports until very recently

The NHL moving in first was one of the few things the league has gotten right
 
FL had an amazing run. A ton of friends were made before they ran out of juice

I'd be frustrated too with the way that game was called. Panthers got ass raped. Almost every infraction was a retaliation to a uncalled penalty on Vegas right in front of the ref. I counted 3 right in front of kozari then they call the Panthers.

The officiating is really screwing hockey for me. I would watch a rival league with remote officiating instead. The tech is there.

I'm fed up with the NHL using plausible deniabilty to fuck around. There are Refs on hot mic literally saying "I saw it, you don't deserve the call". I mean who the fuck are they to determine that? That's not how officiating should be.

Sure the new fans don't understand shit and can only make a #1 hand gesture and say let's gooo..

Fucking meathead sport. Might turn to other things to do in Florida. Just gross. Every fucking series.

The real luck is the Refs mood. That's what wins cups. Aholes.

Right. Up to the ref to decide if the player deserves the call that's a fucking call normally.

Last night was yet another one sided affair and to point to the dumb physicality isn't the story. It's all the non-calls that led to retaliation. Really sickened me yesterday as TNT was showing all the missed calls on Vegas right before the Panthers got called or they scored.

I swear they were wearing Leafs jerseys in Florida
 
it's the mentality of the league that kills me. they don't call penalties because they are penalties but in order to manage the game, or it was the other teams turn for a power play. somehow there can't be a team that actually deserves to have more penalties called against them or the situation of the game dictates that a penalty is no longer a penalty. call the rules fairly and consistently, cut out all the bullshit they currently call officiating and just do their fucking job properly. the game would be so much better for it. but in bettman's nhl artificial parity is more important then skill and growing the game based on the beauty of the sport. fuck gary bettman and his nhl, the game should be so much better than this
 
They simply don't believe in marketing skill and letting the best teams win.
I actually thought last year there were signs they were cracking down ( a bit) and we did end up with the 2 most talented teams in the finals for once.
look back at the dead puck era. Last a decade and it's shocking they did nothing. It started not long after Gary took over
