Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Despite Hill having an outlier season as a back up I did not expect him to go full Hasek this spring. Figured that would be their downfall
 
Both teams are excellent and had goaltender question marks. When the goalies went on heaters it was no surprised that they cleaned up really.

Yeah. It’s not like Bettman made Florida beat Boston, Toronto and Carolina. Their path was way harder than Vegas’.

they earned that run fair and square.

Ottawa I like as a playoff team. I put them easily below Buffalo in terms of future cup hopes. I think both teams improve next year. I can't see Buffalo missing the playoffs. Ottawa? Could happen. We'll see

Why is Ottawa improving?

Their big splash went there for 1 year and said, nah, im good.
 
If anything, i think i trust Detroit to get there over Ottawa, at least Yzerman has a track record and the organization has a recent timeline of not smelling like an old shoe.
 
Buffalo, i can maybe see in, why they are better than Florida for sure i dont know though.

As far as i can tell if Florida is in a precarious spot to be overtaken by Buffalo then so are Toronto and Tampa, and i dont really feel that way about either. Could they get a 5th spot in the Atlantic and bump out a metro team? maybe?

They dont need to attract top free agents , team is loaded with ready to play yutes

All they need is a 1A/1B goalie tandem which shouldnt be too hard to find

Or make a splash for Helly in Winnipeg

Detroit is still years away , dont have the core like Buffalo and Ottawa who only need goaltending for the next step
