You have to be super careful which of the hundreds/thousands of these social media "sensations" you align yourself with if you're doing more than trying to make a quick buck right now. nhl has the worst marketing on the planet. Such a great sport but doing nothing to promote it. Those viewership numbers aren’t surprising though. Florida and Vegas don’t have real fans.
 
Vegas doesn't have real fans but is one of the loudest arenas in the league.

Here's an idea, don't opine until you've watched games in opposing barns. People that aren't stuck thinking the GTA is all that won't take you seriously. It really comes across as whining. "We deserve it more because our fanbase is larger" is what I read here.
 
Panthers arena was rocking. This is what they needed. A win would have gone further but it was needed.

I'll remind people Tampa is a sunbelt team and it took winning a cup to put them over the top.

That's the issue with looking at NHL's revenues. Yes, they've gone up, but so has everyone else. And they are now behind more sports than when Gary started.
There should not be 32 teams. It's quite artificial the revenue going up. NBA could easily have more teams, but aren't desperate for the cash because they are more successful and don't want to water down their league.

Looks like the devils are working on re-upping Meier.

They really seem like they have a decent cap situation.... signing their top players to long term reasonable contracts.
