Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Canadian Hospitals are not that bad:

Sources told Daily Faceoff that Valimaki was dropped off in the emergency room, like any other patient, and left to advocate for his own care with his wife – who happened to be in Dallas at the road game – and a Coyotes team employee. After initial observation, the overworked Dallas hospital staff told Valimaki to find a local hotel and come back in the morning, that their attention was turned toward more critical incoming trauma patients such as gunshot victims.

That's why he's probably doing it.

Brady is basically a monstar from space jam.

Get it together jeez.

Sounds like this is due to a combination of the Coyotes not travelling with team doctors, the Stars medical staff dropping the ball and a Dallas hospital being shit.

Would be curious to know if the Coyotes travelling without their own doctors is a common thing that most teams do, or something unusual that’s reserved for broke-ass franchises like them.
I have a strong feeling rich teams bring their DRs

It's pretty amazing/hilarious how terrible both BUF and OTT are.

The hockey world's loathing of the nerdies has caused them to all go crazy and fall in love with only measuring players by goals and points, even though these are the same people who used to scream you shouldn't judge players by goals and points. It usee to be common knowledge that racking up points on shitty no-D teams didnt actually mean much, but the wannabe old-school types have completely forgotten the obvious.

One thing it is throwing caution to is that it's a fantastic idea to lock-out these young players to big deals you have no idea if they'll live up to.

Yup. The media never questions these long term big money deals to secondary talent. Probably at least partially because they under estimated how good our kids were when we started handing those big long term deals out.

I know there's been a lot said about our first round exits and fair I guess but... I feel like watching other teams get their top picks and just flat out struggle to even make the playoffs afterwards shows you it's not really easy to make that jump. Making it immediately put some big expectations on us instead of these Ottawa/Buffalo teams that got to stay in their "they're up and coming!! they'll be better soon!!" bubble longer.

(That said, we shouldn't have really lost to CBJ and MTL)
