Only thing that does seem to be confirmed is two cyclists were killed last night in what is allegedly Gaudreau’s hometown, and police won’t confirm or deny any info about them.

I bet the "trying to stop him from passing" was the driver trying to tell him not to pass because there were cyclists on the road.

I think the driver he was passing was just moving over to the left to give the Gaudreau's room. The idiot viewed this as that driver trying to block him from passing on the left so he instead slammed on the gas pass him on the right.
