Columbus has to retain players after the exodus years ago

At least Werenski and Laine are young and in their prime

I really like the upside of Johnson and Sillinger as their 1-2C

I like Dvorak and want to keep him since we dont know what Dach can provide this year

Unless its a fair trade for PLD , I wont move Dvorak right now
 
If Calgary's able to re-sign Huberdeau, that's an absolute grand slam for them.

I'm assuming Florida traded him because they didn't think he'd re-sign there?

For sure... really, if they can sign either one it's a good deal... if they can somehow convince them both to re-sign... it's a massive win.

I think it’s more netting a 24 year old vs giving Huby a massive deal at 30

I was just going to say this.

It's a fine deal, long term for Florida... but this clearly downgrades them next year.
