He did. Lockout year.Didn’t Galchenyuk play half season in Sarnia post draft?
Still played in the NHL his post draft year.

Has a shit ton to learn and improve on.Disagree.
I would agree with the AHL though. Slaf needs to play against bigger bodies. Needs to learn to use that frame.
I'd say it's a lot fast.I’m on the Slaf to Laval train. He’s not playing terribly but he needs to regain his confidence with the puck and still adapting to the NA style. Game is a bit fast for him right now.
Lies.I think you're off here. That draft was a weak one and Chucky is top three in scoring from it. We didn't ruin him, he's a meathead.
iirc he said just leave me in the minorsPacioretty went to the A and it did him wonders
I'm not convinced having so many rookie D playing is a good thing either.I was surprised too. I thought this new regime was supposed to be different. It’s not like he had an amazing training camp either.
Slaf has been worse than both kk and Chuck in their rookie years imoI'd say it's a lot fast.
It's worth bringing up again, but, what did Slaf gain from starting the year in the NHL besides a bigger paycheck?
At a certain point, when we've done it with 4 different players (Galchenyuk, Mete, Kotkaniemi, Slaf), I have to wonder if it's the owner ordering them to have the players at the NHL level at that age.
Except he had to beg the staff to leave him down there so he could develop his scoring touch.Pacioretty went to the A and it did him wonders
His coach is a rookie. Like for real.Slaf has been worse than both kk and Chuck in their rookie years imo
Hoping he trends up instead of down like those other two
Why this has always been Gorton’s MO - Bergeron in Boston as AGM, Kakko & Lafreniere w NYRI was surprised too. I thought this new regime was supposed to be different. It’s not like he had an amazing training camp either.
Doesn’t help that our vets on defense can’t stay healthy but it was already a dicey situation from the start.I'm not convinced having so many rookie D playing is a good thing either.
