Ah, another annual favorite of mine, minus the sarcasm: The NHL referees putting their whistles away because they don't want to decide the game.

...Only to not call a high stick - quite literally in front of the referee - that directly lead to Carolina scoring seconds later.
 
The Choking Dog's got that nervous virgin energy, and it's spread throughout the rest of the Wild so far.

Bennett returning allowed Staal to go from second line to fourth. Makes a huge difference. Plus they've out worked the Bruins. Been watching the game.
 
Yikes.

If Carolina was a healthy team, I think they'd have a real shot.

But as is? They're pretty much cooked already.

He's the biggest fraud I think I've ever seen in hockey.

The amount of unearned adoration and praise he's received is hysterical. It's not because of his play on the ice, that's for sure. They even gave him the Vezina purely out of pity, like he was a dying kid in the Make-A-Wish Fondation.

Meanwhile, watching him freeze against Jamie Benn makes my heart sing.
