I thought they had the best chance in the West of making it to the finals purely by default, but Ken Holland and all of his cronies should be fired the second they're eliminated in the first round.

The defense in Deadmonton still sucks. That Nurse contract he gave out is a fucking back breaker, man. He signed Codi Ceci and Tyson Barrie to "shore up" the defense.

They still don't have a goaltender, despite giving out $5 x 5 to a guy who isn't a real starter.

Deadmonton's stuck. They're stuck, stuck, stuck, and there isn't any way out.
 
Despite the warts you mentioned I picked them to win the Cup at the beginning of the season and even at the start of the playoffs (just to be consisten), because I felt the star power might override everything else. I loaded up on Edmonton (and Bruin) players in my playoff pool. Yet I still felt nervous about them playing the Kings, and now wish I had followed that feeling.

Bruins are a 4-line peanut buttered offensive team - takeout Pastrnak and it becomes glaring how distributed their offense really is across 4-lines, and they’re not an offensive machine by any means
 
These playoffs have proved yet again, goaltending & character players are very important at playoff time.

Leafs don’t win without Samsonov & ROR performances regardless of their star power…
