Examples like Makar demonstrate so clearly how the NHL (and hockey in general, really) is filled, at all levels of administration, by people who are at the bottom of the competence pyramid.

I don't know how you don't have the Colorado Avalanche (& other orgs for the other players), the player's agent and even the NHL get together, give them the same lines to repeat over and over.

"I can't talk about that, sorry."
"No comment."

But instead, we've got it so stuck in their heads to repeat the same rehashed answers and guess what happened?

simple, settlements occur to prevent court proceedings and the hassle of them, happens all the time

Good. Maybe then we can stop having player interviews at all. Nothing I'd enjoy more than seeing an end to inarticulate jocks uttering the same inane clichés while they're trying to catch their breath and sweating like pigs.

The one in Toronto was a self-identifying incel and 99.9% of all mass shooters are white males. I'll go with the averages.

Muslim men may be sexually frustrated but they aren't incels because they choose to be practicing Muslims, which means they aren't permitted to have extra-marital sex.
