I’ve met Quinn, through youth hockey. Seems like a really nice guy.

Quinn was also HuGo’s first choice prior to hiring Robidas. Gorton hired Quinn out of BU for NYR, there’s also a strong relationship with Hughes and MSL in terms of coaching & hockey philosophy wonder if Quinn joins Habs and Robidas takes over Laval to implement MSLs concepts given he’s been working it over last couple of seasons?

Sometimes I see David Quinn & Dave Hakstoll and wonder whether it's worth giving up a possible job for life gig in the NCAA for short NHL career as head coach.

David Quinn was the coach of Boston U and that's one of the top programs in America. He could have been there for the rest of his working life and been paid handsomely.

Speaking of Hakstoll, he was fired by Seattle.

Don't hate his proposition, in general. However, the Vancouver-Calgary-Deadmonton-Winnipeg division's dumb.

There isn't a world where Vancouver/Seattle and Winnipeg/Minny aren't in the same divisions.

But now Hakstoll is a "former NHL coach". He's part of the Old Boys Club now. He has officially reserved his spot on the NHL coaching carousel.
