Oils dont have a stacked D that Broberg couldnt be a third pair

Holloway got hurt which didnt help but still he has speed and played very well in the playoffs , do you really need Perry at this stage

Cap management and roster management was poor over the years

It’s not like they didn’t try with him, but he had a hard time keeping up with the physicality in the pros. It’s pretty hard to hide a defensemen who’s not performing in the NHL.

I think even the douchebag himself knows that if he doesn't get his shit together and come correct with whatever team acquires him, this will be the end for him. Next stop, the KHL.
 
I’m not saying he is, but rather that HuGo seem pretty hard on the issue. Who knows what they think about him.

FWIW, the whole league has gone quiet and there seems to be a game of chicken afoot. No sense at lunging for a player and overpaying, especially if CLB are over a barrel.

Scott Stevens during his Caps & short lived STL eras was known as a me, myself, I player who only cared about his stats & winning Norris trophy…. being sent to NJD by an arbitrator as compensation for Shanahan offer sheet grew the player into the ultimate team first guy …he would also become team C for all but 1st season w NJD

Situations can force people to adjust, adapt & grow
