Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

Except it's"regressing to the mean."

Guess it's not being used enough.
You don't regress to the mean. The mean is indicative of what you actually are. You may regress FROM that point but if you overachieve for a while, as the Habs did, what you do on your way back to the mean is revert, not regress.

Was Brady banged up prior to the 4N or was that fall into the post the injury

I would be livid if that injury derails their playoff chances , just like McaVoy
He said before championship game he spoke w Sens and told them he’s going to need a few games off because he “wants to go all out for the game”

Regression to the mean is statistical phenomenon that describes what happens when a something significantly out of the ordinary happens, there will be a correction. Not only will that hot streak end, but it's very likely that a cold streak will follow. If a .900 goalie that goes on a 10-game streak putting up .950... at some point he's going to go on an extended streak on .850... and vice versa.

A team like the Habs win 15 of 18... they're going to have a shit run at some point.

You can say "they reverted to the mean" and you can claim it's correct... but it's just your choice of words, it's not a term for an established theory.

I was surprised when he signed an extension in Ottawa. He’ll probably demand his trade as soon as the season is over.

Fla and TB in same division… might complicate matters.
