Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

So halfway through tonight's must-win game against possibly the worst team in the league, Pittsburgh just went down 1-0.

A four team tournament between Bawstun, Toronto, Tampa Bay & Carolina, please. Rest of the teams can go on vacation.
Fla will go on a playoff run

Having a mid first with the panthers pick is still great. Just can't have them go to the east final and make that pick a late first.

Yah, the difference between 15-18… meh. The Panthers pick became less exciting when it was clear they weren’t gonna finish at #11 for ping pong balls.

Now we gotta hope they are extenuated after this good run and will be taken out early.

When you talk about going "all in" in the hopes of winning a Cup beyond what Price and Weber did, see no further than Gabriel Landeskog:

I had read a few months ago that some were worried that Landeskog's career could be in jeopardy and I kinda brushed it off, but geez. That ain't good.

If his career's compromised, the Colorado window is all but shut right now.

Columbus score with 3.25 left and get the bonus pt for OT win. Jump from #1 to #3 . Ouch. Of course, Hawks and Ducks could still win as the race to not pick Bedard heats up :alien:

Its really sickening what Chicago's management did over the past year or so, in tearing the team down to the barebones and making no effort to even ice an NHL-calibre team. Now they hold their hand out for their reward.

And the league allows it to happen, with the current draft structure.
