Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

Its really sickening what Chicago's management did over the past year or so, in tearing the team down to the barebones and making no effort to even ice an NHL-calibre team. Now they hold their hand out for their reward.

And the league allows it to happen, with the current draft structure.
It's one of the reasons why I'm of the opinion the draft needs to be abolished.

You can't have a system like the draft and fully expect teams to make a concerted effort to ice a competent team year over year. Telling Chicago or Columbus to actually try would be a real detriment to their probabilities of getting the best available players in the upcoming age group.

Other than the Dach deal , what they did was fine . Team is shit and no dreaded middle , be as bad as possible and land top picks . If this was the NFL I get it where there is no lottery.

Habs are doing the same thing it just looks better.

I'm done. Next season is about wins. They'll still be a lottery team.

Bedard is special so ya, tank!
Next season is once again about player development and finding a competent medical and support team

Nick , Cole and Dach need to hit their ceiling and hope the young D take it up another level.

Rebuild is going great so far , coaching and regime .

I guess Columbus didn't get the memo. last night, just like Chicago two nights before. Both teams really screwed up, especially CBJ.

The Coyotes would have needed to win outright to stay ahead of us had we gained even a single point tonight. As of now they are only tied. If we had won or tied and they get only 1 point we'd be fucked.
Something something aunt had balls something something uncle.

They (especially 14) really need to improve their D end performance without losing their scoring potential.

It is quite poor.
