This seems like a much better UFA crop than last year.
And I think the demand is more on his end, wanting to stay a Leaf. At least that’s what I’ve kept hearing.

I can't see Domi going for much less than $4.5.
Last year's 1yr deals like Bert and Domi were exceptions due to the biggest capcrunch since the cap started.
I bet the Leafs would have signed Domi for multi years at $3m but Domi camp wouldn't take that.
on the other hand the one year deal for bert might have saved us from an overpay and we might be able to get him for multi years for less than what we paid him last year.
