Core 4 No More: The Motherfucking Off-Season Thread

Can this shitty finals finish already so we can get started on next season?

The fucking playoffs drag like crazy, especially with the one week layoff before the finals. It's really way too late to be finishing off the season. They should find a way to be done by May 31 every year.

Something like that. But he was playing 17mpg on whichever 4th line was playing 17mpg.

2nd liner on a bad team is probably a 3rd liner on a good team. 4th liner on a bad team is a 3rd line matchup centre on a Stanley cup contender though apparently.
 
It doesn’t matter what line they’re on or anything nits about identifying talent and guys who can contribute. How smart would a gm have looked had they plucked mcmann off waivers? That guy is just an ok nhler but he’s so much better than the Gregory’s Zars, laffertys etc of the world.

Worth keeping in mind that every bit of verbal diarrhea that dribbles out of this schmuck’s mouth on the topic of Mitch Marner is at the behest of Paul Marner & Darren Ferris.

Which is why, when Dreger appeared on OverDrive last week, he was desperately peddling the idea that the smartest possible move for the Leafs is to just re-sign Mitch to an 8 year deal at $12.5M+.

So expect him to continue following orders and keep banging that drum and pooh poo’ing any suggestions of a trade.

You’re living in a complete fantasyland if you think Paul’s special boy will accept a lesser contract that even William Nylander.

MINIMUM demand will be 8 x $12.5M deal with a full ironclad NMC for all eight seasons. Anything less and Mitch will cry while his dad punches holes in the wall.

Yup I've heard much dreger shit in the past couple of weeks and he's guaranteed, no fucking doubt, a mouthpiece for ferris. And then Elliotte is Tre's guy and clearly has a whole different opinion. It's kind of interesting tbh.

Mitch won’t settle for less than $12.5, so his opening demands are going to be a lot higher than that.
