Weird move considering he had 11 goals & 15 points in 23 games for Columbus after they acquired him.

And he was on an NHL minimum contract, so qualifying him would’ve been dirt cheap. Maybe they were afraid of arbitration?

Either way, I’d be happy for the Leafs to give him a shot.
