Every move they make is going to be based on what they think helps you win/score in the playoffs, and i cant for the life of me think that's a good thing

Yah, everything except replacing the shmuck who’s been in charge of this whole circus for 10 years with zero playoff success, and is on his fourth GM and fifth head coach. Or the shitty nepo baby with a lengthy track record of failure that he hired as GM.

I’ll always be a Leaf fan, but fucking hell…they do not make it easy. Such a dumbass, gutless fucking organization.

The 3 core Leafs playoff careers in G5-7:

Matthews - 19 gp, 416.87 mins of TOI, 8 goals, 13 pts, 1.15 G/60, 1.87 pts/60

Nylander - 21 gp, 398.49 mins of TOI, 7 goals, 17 pts, 1.05 G/60, 2.56 pts/60

Marner - 21 gp, 465.70 mins of TOI, 1 goal, 9 pts, 0.13 G/60, 1.16 pts/60
 
Did they mention anything about acquiring a stud top pair d? Or do they think they can build a d corps with #7d talentless plugs? They seemed ecstatic about their deadline, almost giddy.

Nothing about what i heard tells me they are going to move on from Reaves or Kampf ( maybe Jarnkrok) and at least one of Edmundbushkin is coming back.

They will get a F and D, but they will not be ones anyone is happy with around here, and Tavares either stays ( cause moving Mitch is enough) or you have to surrender an asset to dump him
