Tre was uninspired, totally agree there, but I could make a case they were stunned by Dubas leaving abruptly and needed someone semi trustworthy quickly

McLellan reeks of Shanahan, not Tree. I'm sure both provided input but Shanny seems to get horned up but failed coaches/GMs as long as they have years and years of experience in failure.

My guess would be that enough time has passed and someone will hope stench has lifted and people have forgotten the details. Just like CBJ giving Babs another shot and him promptly being a fucking weirdo again

I think Berube is a safe choice, new voice, has won, etc, but not the best choice, not a disaster though, but thats probably a W

Biggest plus on Berube is that when he won a cup he deployed a nice skilled-ish 4th line. Something Sheldon refused to do. He's not much of an X and O's guy so he's more likely to GTFO of the way and let them play.
