This would be a nice change. And we have options within the organization if he’s open to them.
 
What makes Woodcroft so good? Didn’t he flame out in Edmonton?

None of these coaches leave much to be desired.

I spent 20 minutes learning about the new CEO of my hockey team instead of just randomly saying things but what my night terrors thought he was going to do. He made smart noises with his mouth in those interviews, so I was hopeful until I saw him sound like a Rogers VP at our year ender.

blah blah 'bad headspace' because I can't think of my own bit and am going to hitch a ride on Preston's shitty bit he pulls whenever he argues with someone.

McDavid not scoring and Jack Campbell killed him. All their nerdies were elite.

But they fired him, hired some random junior coach and didn’t miss a beat. Coaches are replaceable.

Ya but babs was (is) a good coach. Unfortunately that was partly due to being really good at psychological warfare against his players, which is no fuego in 2024.

I think Berube is fine. Keefe is a good X’s and O’s Guy and his players love him but he coached scared and stubborn here.

Going in on Sammy, reliance on kampf, trust in guys like Gregor, fear to step on marners toes etc. I think Berube is more of a foot on the gas let’s fucking go guy.

I think the criticism from nerds during that playoff run was that Berube under utilized the young Dunn and over-used JBo, who they believed was finished by that point. I don't know if Dunn was actually good that year but that was the critique. Pretty sure JBo was actually poop tho.

Yeah....every dude with a blog was screaming for their team to take a gamble and trade a 2nd round pick for Dunn...

The only "knock" was defensive trust issues.
