Would Bowen have tweeted what he did had the Leafs won the game? That's what Sid is asking (rhetorically, because we already know the answer) and he is 100% on point. The fact that this team consistently underachieves in games that matter year in and year out is not a function of how loudly or quietly the fans at Scotiabank cheer for them. It's a lame argument and it's deflection. You don't charge people hundreds upon thousands of dollars to buy tickets and then blame them for not being enthusiastic enough when the team stinks out the joint. But as Sid says, a lot of people are tied to the organization so they construct these strawmen to provide cover for the incompetence of the front office.WeHave posting Sid.
the nexus of nope.
you have quite the skill. you're really good at taking things other posters have previously said here, repeatedly, and restating them in about five times the amount of words required or necessary. and, the best part of your ability is how you make it seem like you are enlightening us with this brilliant novel idea no one had previously considered.Would Bowen have tweeted what he did had the Leafs won the game? At what point will people clue into the fact that Keefe and Treleving aren't the problems but are merely symptoms of a larger problem named Shanahan? He's the guy you need to fire. He's the one who doled out these ridiculous contracts to players who disappear every April. He's the guy who hired Keefe. He's the guy who hired Pizza Man and only then because his egghead fancy stats GM, who was also garbage, decided to quit. Had he not done so, he'd probably still be the GM right now.
The Shanaplan has turned out to be an abject and unmitigated failure, and an expensive one, to boot. It's time to fire the architect of that plan, trade away a sacred cow or two, and start over. Utilize the one huge advantage that the Leafs have over all the other teams: their blindly loyal, delusional, and slavishly devoted fanbase, the fanbase who will never stop buying tickets and merch no matter how bad things get, and test their patience with a complete tear-down and rebuild. If the current group was ever going to accomplish anything, they'd have done it by now. It's not happening and it's not gonna happen. Accept that reality, start dousing everything in gasoline, and burn it to the ground. Otherwise, you'll just be here in another 5 or 10 years with the same complaints.

You might learn something had you watched and read more. I can't help you with the facts because they just are what they are. If those facts make you uncomfortable and you don't or can't face them, I get it, but it's not helping you. You need to accept that your eventual defeat isn't merely possible but inevitable, and for the reasons that both Sid and myself pointed out.i read as much of this as i watched of that sid vid.

I fucking wonti'll take your word for it.
it's actually been pretty dominant overall in the regular season. but has a habit of going awol in playoffs. Why hasn't Boucher been able to turn this PP around? It's sucked for so long.
It did start to fall apart later in the season and has flatlined in the playoffs. Why can't it be fixed? The Bruins PP looks just fine and yet we supposedly have better offense? Is their D just above and beyond our PP1 guys to deal with? Funny that PP2 seems to do a bit better. It doesn't seem having Marner back has helped much in the PP?it's actually been pretty dominant overall in the regular season. but has a habit of going awol in playoffs.

Montgomery is drunker and dumber than Keefe.
