Losing Dach in game 2 was devastating, significant enough to cost a few spots in the standings, IMO. Losing Savard hurts a bit too.

As Simon Boisvert said on the Marinaro podcast last night, Caufield (and Suzuki) aren't first liners on a Cup team. He also said that unless the Habs get a top 3 or 4 pick there won't be any elite offensive prospects available. He went on to say that had the Habs drafted Michkov last summer and picked 5th or 6th again next summer they could get a defenseman next year who is every bit as good as Reinbacher. But there are no Michkov's available.
