GDT | Game 17 | VS Golden Knights | Thursday, November 16 | 7PM EST

His point still stands, tho.

We knew last year that the dmen class available in 24 would be strong while 23 was way more forward heavy

That’s fair. But I guess if it’s BPA then it’s BPA. (With BPA being debatable, of course.)

I don’t get discrediting our cup finals run. Was it unexpected? Yes. Did we caught lightning in a bottle? Yes. Did we win games we were not supposed to? Absolutely not. We were a pretty good team in the playoffs.

Played decent in the playoffs, but would not have made the playoffs with the usual schedule. That mediocre regular season in the weak Canadian division would not have cut it.

But that was the schedule we were dealt with. It’s like like it came by surprise

Absolutely irrelevant. Every team knew going in what the rules were.

More importantly, it showed being top 16 doesn't mean shit. Every team the Habs beat were pretenders in that case.

Dont think he interviewed with the Habs , I think he only picked select teams he would play for
No I believe he was interviewed by the Habs if memory serves. They simply chickened out and went the lower risk, lower reward route like they pretty much always do.

Gorton and Hughes better have one he'll of a powerhouse team on 3 years because if they don't and Michkov shows up and sets the league on fire that will be the end of both of them in Montreal.

And the Habs will once again revert to hiring the next available panelist on L'Antichambre as the next GM.

Drafting Reinbacher over Michkov was unforgiveable. I've lost complete faith in the current management crew as a result. Too bad, I had high hopes.

There were several other forwards that were better choices than a defenceman as well.
