GDT | Game 26 | VS Kings | Thursday, December 7 | 7PMEST

Here's the thing, we keep saying Slaf is having a good game because he's learning how to muck it up and battle. Great, but where are the skilled plays? I see nothing exceptional yet.
Disagree. Slaf made a couple excellent skilled plays to setup Caufield, who had a miserable game….yet again

Slaf was once again hands down the best 5 on 5 player, possession monster & should’ve easily had 2-3 primary assists on skilled setups

Tonight, was better than most nights and maybe his best game, but still, the production isnt there.

Waste of time on this roster and he is 31 soon
I’m not disagreeing with you except that he would have been a much better trading chip than say Gallagher, Armia or Hoffman, all of which were signed or resigned around the same time.

At this stage of his career, you should appreciate the improvement and impact he has on the game rather than production. He’s been doing a lot of good things and doesn’t look out of place one bit on the first line. At 19 years old, we should be celebrating that.

Blah, then they take Armia out of the lineup and he actually managed to score a couple of goals recently. Makes sense?

He would have a full no trade clause if resigned , time to move him was 2 years before his contract was up just like Gally

Bingo with some luck he would have had about 15-18 points by now

He has improved big time this year

We’re AT LEAST 3-4 years behind the Kings in terms of development. Sorry, Count.
Exactly. And applying band-aids in a vain attempt at squeaking into 8th place just to please impatient fans is not the way to close that gap. You can only do that by drafting more talented players and the more you tank, the better your draft position and the greater chance you have to get more talented players who will speed up the development window.

Tanking needs to happen. We are going to be shit either way so tank with purpose. Be great at tanking like Chicago was last year.
