GDT Game 34: @ Dallas, Friday, December 23, 8:00 PM EST

I wonder, is Slaf getting "tired" like KK was in his first year. He can hardly push the play at all right now.

This team really started to plumet the second Monahan started missing games. Savard being out has hurt as well.

And now that we aren't getting consistent pretty good to excellent goaltending? It's like a house of cards.

This is not a bad thing. The worst thing we could have done this year is make a push for the playoffs; The start of the season was fools gold and now we're reverting to what should be the norm. We're not as bad as Chicago/Arizona/Anaheim, but we should still finish in the 5th to 7th spot near the bottom.

I'd be happy if we could trade Monahan for a first, Edmundsson for... whatever, a 2nd & a long-shot prospect, maybe see if we can get someone to take Anderson off our hands.

I don't think we're getting anything else of value from the other players on our team that we've deemed expendable.

Dadonov and Drouin for a few cases of bilingual Tylenol

Goaltending has been fine. If Cole doesn’t score, no winning.

Dadonov & Drouin actually being able to put up 2nd line production numbers, like a lot of us here thought, would have ruined our season. We would be in a playoff position by now and I'm not sure whether we would have traded them or not. I like to think that we would have, but there's no real way of knowing.

This team is shit plain and simple , not enough talent .

Half the team belongs in the AHL or wouldn’t be playing on better teams

I don’t understand how some want wins and not more ping pong balls

Hugo has much more work to do , they will unload vets and keep losing games

Once the season got into full swing, the honeymoon was going to be over and every game they play will be on their heels. But tonight was still a winnable game. And I know it's hard to admit, but they miss Savard.
You're struggling between your head and heart again man.

Edmundson will get us a good prospect or at least a first. He's got only one year left at $3.5m after this year and there will be GMs lining up for him depending on ask. With the cap set to increase far less than anticipated, he's got a ton of value. D like him are now $4.5m+ on the open market.

It may need to wait until next season, his final year, but I'm ok with that. We need to tank this year and if nobody coughs up that first or a prospect that makes HuGo think twice then I'm ok with waiting a year. He's getting a first.

All that is out the window though if the fucker gets hurt yet again.

Might be able to move Dadonov for our friend, Future Considerations. Drouin won't even get that because those future Considerations would be murder for taking him off our hands.

I agree with Wiseman and GGpX. We miss Savard and Monahan, and Slafkovsky is slowing down.
We don't miss any of them. They make us a mushy middle team.

I have always been a Monahan fan and know his worth but right now he's worth more up in the box long term. He will need to get back on the ice to be traded though.
