Caufield should put up more points than PLD. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a consistent 30g guy. He's a scoring machine. We don't have anyone else like that in our system.
 
This might be why they grabbed Juulsen. They're looking to move Yandle but it's tricky.

That would be a nice add but they'd have to take Chiarot or Edmundson and easy half the salary.

I’m not sure he’ll put up more points than PLD but . . . he’s a pure sniper, of which we have none in our pipeline other than him and you can’t draft guys like him every year so no to PLD if he has to be included with KK.

PLD is asking for a trade and will be making big $ in 2 years. I think KK is developing nice but ya KK a b level and a pick. KK.was taken 3rd overall!
 
If Kypreos’s tweet is accurate and PLD wants to go to MTL, it becomes a Trouba situation - MB should know the inner details since his BFF is the agent (Brisson).

Add to it, Torts essentially said he doesn’t want PLD on his team, not sure what that does to Jarmo’s leverage, but puts him in an awkward position for sure.

No team will offer up multiple assets for a player that they may not commit long term.

Danault (extended) + Poehling + Caufield

CBJ gets two mid-West boys who’ll be happy to be close to home. Obviously dependent on Danault willing to reup for CBJ - but if he’s adamant about being a top-2C, he’ll have that role for the foreseeable future in Columbus
 
It's like he created his own penalty shot opportunity ignoring everyone else on the ice.

Your willingness to move Caufield for a player in a position where we are strong is hard to understand.

Center is the only position in hockey where you never have enough depth.

Some of you are already forgetting the 2016-2017 season when we had one of the best (if not the best) sets of top-6 winters in the whole league, but we had a pop-gun offense. Why? Because our top 3 centers were Desharnais, past his prime Pleks and Danault.

So much is predicated on your center play.

I'd gladly give up KK + Caufield + a first in the shittiest draft in a decade for PLD. We'd have our top-6 center line set for a decade with two all around centers who may not be elite, game breaking talents, but are damn good players.
 
I don't even think twice about trading KK for PLD and I don't have much issue throwing in Caufield if needed but I'd try to avoid given him in a deal if possible.

He better snipe or he is a bust , cant be a 20 goal PP specialist who struggles 5/5

His best comp is to be a Gionta type but he was a complete player and killed penalties

PLD is a 200 foot horse , perfect fit for us
 
Are you even following his progression? CC has been getting praise from all his coaches including the US National team for his improved play away from the puck. He's not a one trick pony. What he is however is small and thus he will always get extra criticism and be expected to do more.
