Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

So we can protect 7 forwards, 3D and 1G.

Chiarot is going to be exposed anyway

So who are they protecting?

Anderson

Need two more forwards or they may go 8 skaters and 1 goalie.
 
You're correct. So Evans and Lehkonen round it out.

The question then becomes do you protect Edmundson or Chiarot?
 
That's my thinking as well so I just don't see how they protect Chiarot.

Does anyone know if they're allowed to make trades now prior to the expansion draft?

Pretty sure they can, LA already acquired Avderson from Nash and I am sure teams will be wheeling and dealing with players that cannot protect from the expansion draft

i forget how it works around NTC and NMC
Chariot has a modified NTC - so do we have to protect him or not?

assuming it doesnt matter the answer is to expose Weber
 
Only if he listed Seattle at the beginning of the year I believe.

NMC or full NTC must be protected.
 
Same with Gallagher, his NMC is for minors purposes and his NTC is modified. Technically he does not need to be protected unless Seattle is on his list.
 
Petry (NMC), Edmundson (m-NTC), and Chariot (m-NTC) could potentially all have to be protected
Would they take Weber ?
