Addition by subtraction. Why? Habs don’t need his cap space and he’s more productive lately — if he keeps it up he might be a somewhat useful trade chip down the line (ie 10 months)
Addition by subtraction.
Rather have him count against the cap while being absent instead of having him here. Free up a roster spot for someone more deserving.
Get him the hell outta here. Ultra bad leader beans.
Sign Gurianov for 2.5 (he ain’t getting qualified) and you come out ahead on cap. If not him, then someone else at that cap hit.
Apparently MSL is not a huge fan of Gurianov. At worst, he’ll get us another Gurianov
When he’s not shooting the puck he’s not too noticeable. Not surprised
Yeah, unless they plan to compete next season and need that space... why take cap hit in 25-26?Why? Habs don’t need his cap space and he’s more productive lately — if he keeps it up he might be a somewhat useful trade chip down the line (ie 10 months)
yet prices for the shit product won't drop...LeBrun interview with Hughes popped up in The Athletic today -- Hughes said "it's going to be another 2 or 3 years" before they're competing to be regulars on the playoff scene.

I wish it was the NFL instant fix but it isntYou make it sound like Hughes can snap his fingers and build an insta contender.
You can always opt to tune out for a few years…Habs will still be there when you’re ready for them.
Team is fully entrenched in a full rebuild , they have no choice to do it right and whatever time it takesI’d rather them take their time and get a solid core of unreal talent and compete consistently for years and years then rush to spend and put together some meh team and barely make or compete in playoffs every year with terrible contracts. We’ve done the latter for far too long
Cap hit would be until 24-25.Yeah, unless they plan to compete next season and need that space... why take cap hit in 25-26?
Why would they? The Habs' front office and successive ownership groups have spent the better part of 25 years lowering the bar so that our fans would eventually be as brainless with their money as Leafs fans have been for a century. Now is when the systematic lowering of standards is going to pay off for Molson. Where do you think the "It's not a 6 team league anymore" narrative originated from? The franchise may not have produced any championships or elite players over the last quarter century but the one thing it knows how to proliferate are excuses for mediocrity.yet prices for the shit product won't drop...
I'm ok with that. At least theyre not looking at a quick fix.yet prices for the shit product won't drop...
