Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

77 and 20 have been bad, full stop. Slow, stupid and lazy. That line looks like it’s playing in quicksand.

Don’t care about Wright.

At least Newhook forechecks, though he’s inconsistent. But it almost seems as if a bit of Gallagher’s work ethic and guts is rubbing off on him.

Heineman might be better than Newhook, honestly. Anyway, Demidov will be with Suzuki and Caufield at some point next season.
 
Newhook needs to play centre. Thats where he played once his injury was resolved last year and he looked pretty good. Gallagher found his game to a bit at the tail end with the Newhook as his center
 
Slaf will be fine. I'm not worried. Dach hasn't done enough to convince me that he'll be fine.

Newhook needs to be a center. He can't play the wing. And Heinemann needs to get a shot on the top 6. He can skate and he has a great shot. Give him better linemates.

It’s going to take Kirby the entire year to get his conditioning back. Next year, the contract year I’m sure in a lot of work out. Wink wink.

Yah, Heineman has been more consistent and plays a more physical game. But ultimately they are both bottom 6 guys and they should work on their craft in their roles. That’s where their long term futures are, IMO.

Thankfully Demidov resolves this issue next year.
