Primeau is what he us: an elite AHL caliber goalie.

Goalies... never say never. Hell Lindgren didn't became an NHL goalie until he was 29.

Dobes needs lot of time next year as well.
I mean, he has two more years of waver exemption beyond this year. The team should really look at making sure you maximize his time in the AHL After that it Fowler for as long as possible.

Primeau has the talent and size.. it is his mindset that needs to develop.. what he has done since going back to the AHL tells me that he can be a NHL goalie.. i think he will get traded over the summer and will be playing in the NHL soon.. same thing happened to Monty, he had the talent when we picked him up.. Monty still has upside imo.. Dobes is learning that now, he has the talent but is his mindset strong enough, i think so.. he also needs to figure out when to challenge and when to stay deeper in his crease, that will take time... I have been following Fowler and i am excited about him. I think he can be elite. Habs are set in net for a while..

Apparently the book on Dobes is that he’s too aggressive, wanders and loses his net.

The team is where they are with very average goaltending , average D play, average PP, a Houdini like second line, and non existent 3rd line offense.
Management sees this (I hope). Improvements to the mean in two of those areas and we are a playoff team.
