Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Yeah. I occasionally play small with options....looking to turn $1K to $10K pretty quick. But I don't even try that often. And most of those attempts fail, but I almost always get out at breakeven or <$300 loss

I'm still on semi-hiatus but I noticed some of my recent faves enjoyed great moves today

ie.. BYND 145 options went 7 bagger (from .80 to 5.60)
Why the hiatus?

And I think it's time I opened up an account for you to trade on my behalf.

was a little burnt out on the day-trading front

Remember, I was mostly a swing trader until the pandemic hit -- then I started watching every tick...now a year and a bit into it, I feel like exploring some other side hustles and/or just chill a bit more.

Early last week when I found myself really looking forward to the US Memorial Day off, I realized I hadn't taken even a week off since Covid hit, so I decided to shut it down early. I'm slowly getting into it today but probably won't ramp up until next week.

The rest is doing me good.

I hear you. I've been completely drained and burnt out from work lately, so much so that the last week or two I've probably been my most unproductive ever. Every minute I spend on client stuff is forced, finding myself just procrastinating or accidentally zoned out a lot. Leafs definitely took up a lot of brain space, and then family stuff with people in and out of the hospital, and of course, the noise issues I'm still working on at home. And in the midst of it, I check the market here and there during the day, but there's been very little positive going on and lots of days of precipitous drops, so I've been detached from the market big time.

Yeah. I've had some recent family health scares as well.

The best thing for me was sleeping in for a few days last week -- nothing crazy but 10am instead of 7am helped a lot.

Yeah, when I start spiraling into feeling shitty and burnt out, I usually start sleeping less. Which becomes a feedback loop that leaves me feeling more progressively shitty and burnt out. Resetting that cycle with a few great sleeps really helps.

I probably need to take some vacation time too. I’ve been hoarding it in case the world gets to the point where I can use it for a real vacation. But here we are and it’s somehow June already, and I haven’t had more than 2-3 consecutive days off (including weekends) for all of 2021 so far.

Yep. WFH can take its toll because that natural separation from worktime and metime is easily obliterated.

do you have a target...or simply enjoying the ride to the proverbial moon?

In all honesty, I'm gonna see where it settles at the end of the week, but it's a momentum play so I'm riding it. Most likely I sell enough shares to cover my initial investment and free ride the rest until it runs out of steam.

I honestly haven't taken more than 3-4 days off in 10 years now. And even those brief breaks happened maybe less than ten times in that period.

sold my Blackberry at 19.50...will rebuy at some point because I actually do "like the stock" longterm

What’s to like, out of curiosity?

I haven’t really followed what the company’s up to at all since their phones disappeared from the market.
