Douchebags turfed more than 1500 after they got their 121 million in covid payments that were to be used to keep employees
All Bell cares about is selling inflated cell phone, internet and TV packages. They don't give a shit about any radio market outside of Toronto. In 2 years they've shut down 4 all sports radio stations (Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Hamilton) and the only reason TSN 690 is still around is because only one or two guys on that station make any real money and because they have all the English broadcast rights to the Habs, Als and whatever the MLS team is called this week. The second that the Habs move those rights TSN690 is toast.

Reason #895, don't trust companies and their fancy slogans, especially this month in particular.

The same way Bell doesn't care about mental health, all these companies that change their logos to the rainbow in June for pride month (funny how none of those companies do that in the parts of the world where homophobia is prevalent, but that's neither here nor there) doesn't give a shit about the LGBT community. They only care about the money they can make off of their backs.

Same thing in October when the pink-washing comes out for breast cancer awareness. Practically none of the proceeds off the sale of such branded pink merchandise actually goes to the charity. And the woman who actually invented the pink ribbon got ripped off and never compensated when the corporations decided to horn in and make a few extra bucks off pretending to give a shit.

makes the company feel good but there are no results

If LIV and PGA tour are an example of anything it is that the only thing that matters is money and the employees are always the ones getting screwed.

While this isn't directly related to the NHL, it is a trend that you're going to see more & more often in the world.

Will also be curious to see how this affects The Athletic, which is where the NYT is going to be putting their efforts on for the sports coverage.

AI will be able to handle synthesis or aggregation pieces. Humans will keep their their jobs for original research or information that depends on networking. Of course, teams, businesses, whatever, etc. know all this and will push content to feed the AI and jealously restrict access for other material.

Not "again". They suspended their sponsorship in October and now have made the break with HC permanent.

Hockey Canada needs to die and everyone employed by them needs to lose their jobs and must never be permitted to work in the sport again.

Nike cuts people loose all the time while conveniently forgetting their sweatshops

I'd be beyond shocked if the NHL didn't do its due diligence about this already.

Even the NHL, by its own terribly low standards, can't be that oblivious to the ramifications that this would cause if Makar was named in the report.

exactly and no way EA puts itself on the firing line without knowing he was not involved
