Ivan Demidov - Montreal Canadien

Even if Demidov himself thinks that a season in Laval would be useful, I just don't see it happening. If he's ready (or as ready as he'll ever be) for prime time, spend the money and get him here. Otherwise don't bother.

He needs a full year of development with top 6 minutes , if the KHL can give it to him thats fine

I don't really mind a full season in the KHL. But I'd rather not he spends another year in the MHL where he has nothing left to prove.

Few things would make me happier than having him with the Habs this season, but only if he’s ready to be MM’s equal. He’s only been here two days and I’m already really sick of hearing how great he is. I’m counting on you, Ivan. Don’t F’ing let me down.

Michkov Mania

Chairman Dan Hilferty, in a statement provided to The Athletic, provided some context.

“We have seen one of the most significant impacts on our team as a whole in recent years. Combined with the clear direction of our future and the additions from the draft, free agency, and Michkov coming over, the business portion of our organization has taken off. Our season ticket sales have increased (by) over 75 percent in just a few weeks compared to this time last year. In addition, we’ve seen the largest spike in offseason retail sales over the last five years, and it keeps growing.”

Too bad you gave away Cutter Gauthier, passed on Zeev Buium, and don’t have a top 6 center on the team or in the pipeline. Just sayin’

he's as short as Briere

Literally no one here would be dumb enough to spend money on a Grant McCagg publication.

At least I hope not.
Charlie O’Connor, Flyers podcaster and formerly of the Athletic, was talking about Grant last week on his podcast (discussing the faux Michkov vs. Demidov debate), but refused to mention his name, and said that he (Grant) is viewed as a total fraud and wannabe by the scouting community. I tend to believe him.

It's only Marinaro and Brian Wilde who give him any oxygen. Even at that his publication is apparently folding (due to lack of interest no doubt) Grant is trying to make a living off of a hobby.
